When I was an elementary school teacher I had a secret. You know how teachers aren’t suppose to be partial? Or have favorites? Well, I did. I most definitely loved a “sweet” boy. One that was maybe a little rowdy or even a class clown, but was sweet – the kind of kid that said please and thank you, didn’t make fun of any of his classmates, offered to hold the door instead of being line leader, made me a homemade card for Valentine’s Day …. I could go on and on. This kind of sweet isn’t all just personality, it’s a lot to do with parenting. And although I have moved on from my classroom days, I still am pretty darn good at recognizing a sweet boy. These two little men just made me smile the entire time I photographed. And big brother even said thank you as I left. What a wonderful and “sweet” family!
