Last week snow blanketed Dallas rather unexpectedly. What was forecasted to be a light dusting turned into a flurry of snow that fell for hours and a thick blanket that covered the metroplex several inches deep. When it comes to snow I am a complete kid at heart. To me it is magical. And oh my goodness did we make the most of it! From sunrise to sunset it was an endless cycle of bundling up, playing outside, warming up by the fire, and then repeat. As I wrote on Instagram, “It was like the snow froze all of my regular responsibilities. I forgot about emails, laundry, and housework. My to do list was set aside. Instead I became an ice monster and a sled puller. I taught my son how to make a snow angel. We made hot chocolate and cookies. I laughed at my daughter licking the snow off her brother. It was a day 100% focused on my kids and it was amazing.”
Tonight we are expected to get another round of snow. Several inches are expected to fall. And my son and I are crossing my fingers that we can rebuild his snowman.
