Today it is 100 plus degrees. The kind of heat that has me hibernating in my home and kissing my AC unit in appreciation. But not long ago I was holed up here for a different reason. This spring was the craziest, wettest weather I have ever seen in North Texas. Rain for days and days and days. And then more days.
I can’t remember now where exactly we were originally going to this photo session. But the radar was not looking promising for us. We emailed/texted/called…”Cancel? Or not cancel???” In the end we literally outran the rain and headed to the driest part of the Dallas area – which happened to be Denton.
So I like to be over prepared. I ALWAYS scout my locations ahead of time (finding the rights light, backgrounds,etc.). But in this case it didn’t happen. In fact, for the first time I shot in a location with clients that I had never been to. Craziness. Well “living on the edge” paid off because I simply ADORE the images we got and I would do a family session in downtown Denton again in a heartbeat.
(anyone? anyone? Get me OUT of my house!)
Enjoy a few of my favorites from this gorgeous family’s session!
